VIAL6
Pre-made espresso shots—a novel take on classic coffee packaging. Developed for Elisava's Design for Packaging class.
Purpose of the product:
Vial6 communicates a lifestyle led with intention. The purpose of the product is to improve daily focus, energy, efficiency, and organization for our intended user. Through easy-to-use packaging with a low environmental impact, Vial6 is the perfect product for anyone seeking a consistent, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing espresso shot each day of their work week. Vial6 provides our user with pre-organized daily energy so that they can spend time elsewhere.
Context of use:
Our product is meant to be used in the morning before work or school, 5 days a week, with one additional caffeine shot for an extra pick-me-up during the day or to replace another potentially defective shot. The product will be stored in the user’s fridge. The packaging will be peeled open by the user, and the coffee will be consumed immediately after.
About the user:
The user is a male or female ‘workaholic’ who is hyper-organized. This user prefers to take their weekends to organize and get everything prepared so that they can maximize their time efficiently on work days. This user lacks free time during the week. They enjoy aesthetically pleasing products as a way to enhance their daily life. The user is committed to their routine and dislikes spontaneity. They are up to date with modern trends and prefer clean and sophisticated brands.

Branding
We aim for our product to represent medical imagery. This branding is symbolic of a prescription, and our coffee shot seeks to represent a morning vitamin/medication which gets the user’s day going. The 1-6 numbering and color coordination on each coffe vial reflects the organization of a pill container. On the other hand, using natural tones and simple typography for the text brings the product to an elevated and clean look.
